We offer our sponsors the opportunity to assist in the education of our young people for future careers in the various aspects of computer technology and digital arts. Many of our staff and members cannot afford the extra courses they need, or the courses are not available to them via their local education system. Often, the one on one instructional time they receive from a mentor can mean all the difference to them in a decision to move forward with their goals or to give up entirely.
The commercial aspects of KillaNet Technology currently cover the community's online costs, and any surplus income is held for domain renewal or required licensing for software such as our Invision boards. As KillaNet works towards developing a brick and mortar educational facility, any assistance granted to it is more than welcome. Corporate memberships in many developmental associations is simply beyond KillaNet's financial means at this current time, as is the purchase of needed development kits for our student programmers. Still other young, talented people are held back by inadequate systems although they are trying to earn and save money through KillaNet's "earn as you learn" programme, whereby they can earn money by taking on contract web site development projects, or sell products and programmes they have designed or written. In contract project situations, KillaNet acts only as a mediary to ensure that contracts are signed, deposits are paid, and the students are paid for their work. KillaNet holds back no percentage from the students and they earn 100% of the contract price. Items sold through KillaNet's retail resources also earn money for the creators, with less than 5% of the wholesale price being held back to assist with associated costs such as hosting.
