Village Gamer will soon be appearing on the internet as KillaNet Technology's newest property. Village Gamer will not only carry news and reviews about upcoming games, but also news about what is going on with the Vancouver industry itself, with a directory of studios, educational facilities, associations and employment opportunities. We will have an area for article contributions from those in the industry, especially Dev Diaries and the future of the industry.
While there are many game industry news sites already on the internet, we feel that ours will be unique because of its focus on Vancouver. As a gaming journalist I see several press releases every day, and I find that the Vancouver news tends to be overshadowed by that of news from other areas. We are hoping that through careful marketing and quality content, Village Gamer will be able to offer the Vancouver studios exemplary publicity. There will be limited opportunities for paid advertising spots, as well.
